Service and Photographs
This will take approximately one and a half hours. Your photographer will discuss with you how long group photography should take, and how long they will spend with you away from the reception and your guests to take the romantic photographs. Although we don’t have external grounds, Plymouth can be your beautiful backdrop!
Reception Drinks
The couple are traditionally toasted with a glass of champagne or sparkling wine and for the non-drinkers or under 18s and designated drivers amongst your guests, there will also be a choice of non-alchjolic beverages. On average, the reception drinks will take between 40 minutes and an hour
Wedding Breakfast
Wedding Breakfasts have been part of the traditional wedding day for a very long time. A meal that is shared with all the friends and family that have come together to share your special day. A three course Wedding Breakfast will take approximately one and a half hours
Cutting The Cake & Speeches
The tradition of cutting the cake usually follows dessert, it may also be done after the speeches or before the first dance. This depends on who makes the speeches! Usually it’s advised to leave between 30 minutes and an hour
Evening Buffet
Our Evening Buffets at the New Continental Hotel are nutritiously good! We recommend that a good time to start your evening reception is between 7.00pm and 7.30pm
Evening Reception
For the majority of couples they like the evening buffet to be served between 8.30 and 9pm. This is entirely up to you, the serving of the buffet is sleek and guests will be wowed by the selection
